30 years after closing its doors as Mill Mount Grammar School for Girls, a reunion was organised by some of its former pupils. A Facebook group to commemorate the school had been created by Sandra Lightfoot in 2009 and had grown in popularity over the following few years. Margaret Brislin, Angela Hume and Jenny Geddes worked hard to bring as many former pupils together for a reunion. This took place on 20th June 2015 at the school buildings, now occupied by All Saints. The ‘old girls’ were able to tour the school, revisit gardens, rooms and halls of their youth, meet up with long lost friends and enjoy a cuppa and a chinwag at St Clements Hall.
The day was filled with chatter, laughter, hugs, memories of the past and promises for the future.
It was a huge success.
